What’s a BOO?

The bible object oriented is easy way to access bible with your basic features. New and Old testament book’s is loaded when gem is required. It’s a good example of objects prevalence using madeleine. The snapshot is load from file bible-en/00…001.snapshot (1,5MB), running with 10 MB of RAM.

Installing

sudo gem install boo

Demonstration of usage

  require "boo" # load $bible

  $bible # => ["OT", "NT"]
  $bible["OT"] # => returns a hash containing whole books of Old Testament.
  $bible["OT"]["Psalms"] # => returns a Book object with number and name. 
  $bible["OT"]["Psalms"]["023"] # => returns Chapter object.
  $bible["OT"]["Psalms"]["023"][1] # => returns the first verse.
